Which areas do you specialize in?While I have experience in all areas, I specialize in Autism Spectrum Disorder and Apraxia of Speech. I am certified to work with children and adults in four main areas: articulation (speech sounds, intelligibility), language (receptive and expressive), pragmatics (social language skills), stuttering/fluency, and feeding (oral motor, swallowing, some sensory).

Do you accept insurance?No. In an effort to keep pricing competitive, we are private pay only. However, many insurance companies will provide reimbursement to parents for out of network providers. Strive can provide you with a superbill which you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

Where is your clinic located?We are located in the Kingsgate area of Kirkland, WA.

What cities do you service?We currently service the Seattle and the East side (Kirkland, Bellevue, Redmond, etc.) Don't see your city listed? No worries. You can reach out to our team and see if coverage is possible in your area.

What ages do you service?We provide pediatric services for children from birth to 18 years of age. Some adult services are provided at the discretion of the therapist.

How do I know if my child needs an evaluation or speech therapy?If you would like to speak with a therapist about your concerns, you can book a free consultation. A free consultation consists of a 15-20 minute phone call where you can talk with one of our therapists about your concerns without committing to a full evaluation. The therapist will ask questions about your child’s development, address any concerns you may have, and provide recommendations for your child.

What do I need to bring to my evaluation?Please bring any documentation (recent notes from other therapists/services (i.e. OT, IEP, physician referrals, etc.) you have, payment method, and your child. Plan to stay with your child for the duration of the evaluation (about 60 minutes) as all evaluations will have a parent interview and to answer any questions that may arise during the evaluation. Your therapist will summarize evaluation findings and discuss recommendations with you at the conclusion of the evaluation.

How do I know if teletherapy is a good choice for my child and me?There are a number of factors to consider when deciding between in-person therapy and teletherapy. Your therapist will work with you to determine which setting is best for your family.

How long is a therapy session?Sessions are 30, 45, or 60 minutes long depending on the specific needs of your child. Your therapist will work with you to determine the appropriate duration for your child.
